Diese Seiltrommel ermöglicht durch die Vorkerbung im Kunststoff ein geordnetes Aufwickeln und damit einen gleichmäßigen Laufweg des Drahtseils in der Schattieranlage. Eine Friktion der aufgewickelten Drähte und Seile wird verhindert.

Der zweischalige Aufbau der Seiltrommel ermöglicht eine nachträgliche Installation auf der Antriebswelle. Verbunden werden die beiden Schalen mit zwei mitgelieferten Achsschrauben. Diese fixieren die Seiltrommel auch auf der Welle. Die Trommel ist aus schlagfestem Kunststoff - dieses Material schont das Drahtseil und erhöht seine Lebensdauer.
